Giclee Photo PRINT on Professional Luster Paper of an Original Encaustic Wax Painting "Flying Squirrel", 2015, by JAC.
12"x12" SIGNED AND DATED. Print comes with black mounting board, mounted with archival, double sided tape.
The print is reproduced in-house, by the artist, from an original Encaustic Wax Painting by JAC. It is printed on Epson Ultra Premium Photo Luster paper. This paper really captures the "light" of an encaustic wax painting, in my opinion. It is archival,water-resistant,fade-resistant, thicker that normal stock photo paper, and has a lovely "luster"! Lustre prints offer the best of both worlds: the color saturation of glossy finish with the fingerprint resistance of matte. And none of the glare associated with glossy prints!
My prints are made using Epson Inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade for at least 90+years.
All prints are signed and dated by the artist, and are shipped in a clear cellophane sleeve, with backing, inside a padded mailer. Larger Prints are shipped in stiff mailer of recycled cardboard.
Encaustic Wax is an Ancient Painting medium (over two thousand years) consisting of beeswax and resin (tree sap). Pigments are mixed into the wax, or suspended between the numerous layers (8 to 12 normally in my paintings). The wax is translucent and "captures" and reflects light, giving the paintings an inner glow that accentuates the colors and wonderful effects that are created by using heat and fire. Heat seals the layers, while some of the added materials are actually set on fire to get various results. The end product is a unique and interesting work of art.
My Encaustic Original Paintings are only listed in Spring and Fall, when the weather is better for shipping wax works. But you can always find listings for Prints of these and other pieces.
Your PRINT will be shipped carefully in a sturdy flat mailer.
My prints are archival and fade resistant.
All prints are numbered, signed and dated by the artist, created in house by the artist, and arrive mounted, sealed in a clear, acid-free cellophane sleeve within a protective stiff envelope.
